Star producer Dil Raju started his career as a distributor in the Nizam region and later progressed to become a producer. But even after becoming a successful producer with hugely successful films under his belt, Raju didn't leave the distribution stream and continued to selectively distribute films in the Nizam belt.
Last year, Dil Raju tasted sweet success by distributing films like Dasara, Jailer, and Animal which earned him big rewards over medium investments. Cut to this year, Dil Raju is already on the verge of hitting his first jackpot in the form of Tillu Square.
Earlier, Dil Raju bought TDJ Tillu for a small number and he reportedly ended up making 7 crore rupees share in the Nizam region which meant he saw huge profits on this film. Then, when Sithara Naga Vamsi quoted the same figure of 7 crore rupees for the Nizam rights of Tillu Square, Dil Raju didn't contemplate much as he bagged up the rights.
Dil Raju is a happy man now as Tillu Square, which was bought for 7 crore(Nizam rights), has grossed 5-6 crore rupees on the first day and is projected to gross over 20 crore rupees in the first weekend itself. In its full run, the theatrical share could touch 15 crore rupees mark, if not more, which will mean that Raju will see double profits with Tillu Square. This is going to be a huge jackpot for the senior producer.
