After Rajinikanth delivered a box office monster in the form of Jailer, everyone thought this would mark the comeback of the superstar on the big screens. In accordance, the film had grossed over Rs 500 crore worldwide.
However, Rajinikanth has followed this mega blockbuster with a mega disaster in the form of Lal Salaam. This is going to be one of the biggest disasters of all time in the dubbed films market.
Jailer had collected a theatrical share of over Rs 50 crores in the Telugu states but in the case of Lal Salaam, the situation is the exact opposite and the film is heading towards all time disaster status at the box office.
In its full run, Lal Salaam will collect less than Rs 50 lakh at the box office which is going to be a record poor number for a film featuring Rajinikanth.
Lal Salaam is the biggest disaster in Rajinikanth's career and it has not even recovered the release and promotional expenses in its run. The film is directed by Rajini's daughter Aishwarya.
