YS Sharmila has done what looked inevitable as she merged her political outfit YSRTP in Indian National Congress on the 4th of January. She flew to Delhi along with her husband, Anil to merge the party in INC.
Sharmila has been appointed as an integral leader of Congress party and she will primarily operate as the main campaigner for the party in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where she serves as one of the carriers of YSR legacy which can pull sizeable number of votes.
Sharmila will now be preparing to take on her brother and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy is currently the chief minister of the state. Sharmila has stated that she is ready to take on anyone upon the instructions of the Congress party.
Sharmila's inclusion in Congress comes as a big positive to the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh as it is in desperate need of leadership material here.
