It is known that Prabhas saw pan Indian hype and acclaim with Rajamouli's Baahubali duology. But the macho hero has now picked his current film, Salaar director Prashanth Neel over Rajamouli.
"He is the best director in 21 years of my life. I was very curious about when he would call me for the shoot. More than going to the set or performing, I wanted to spend time with Prashanth Neel. This was the first thing that came to my mind, and I had never felt this in the last 21 years. I felt this pain for 6 months. I think within a month we became very close." Prabhas said in a recent interview.
The fact that Prabhas picked Neel over Rajamouli has shocked many as he and Rajamouli have already worked on two parts of Baahubali and Chatrapathi. They appear to share the closest of rapports. But Prabhas saying Neel is the best director he has worked with till date has become a hot topic.
Prashanth is a hero-director; as I said that I would come at this time, he was comfortable with that. Once actors come on the set, like me, Shruti, or Prithvi, there is no stopping anything. They just focused on our shots. This way, I never had to wait on the set, even though we used to tell them that, Prashanth, we would wait, Prabhas added.
