The Tollywood box office saw two new outings at the box office this weekend and they are Bholaa Shankar and Jailer.
Bholaa Shankar obviously got the better start at the Tollywood box office as it grossed over Rs 30 crores on the opening day in the Telugu states and also in the USA combined.
However, Jailer has now started to take the lead over Bholaa Shankar even at the Tollywood box office. The film grossed over Rs 12 crores on its opening day in the Telugu states.
And on Saturday, which is the second day for Bholaa and third day for Jailer, the latter started to gain a lead over the Chiranjeevi starrer in major Telugu circuits.
The fact that a dubbed film has overtaken a Megastar Chiranjeevi film in the Telugu states has now become a sensational topic of discussion for the Telugu community.
Jailer could be grossing double digits again today and this number is expected to be bigger than Bholaa Shankar’s which has plummeted on its second day.
Bholaa Shankar is dented by the poor reviews and the weak word of mouth, as a result of which Jailer has emerged as the primary choice for the Telugu audience.
