Chittoor is one of the most important electoral segments in Andhra Pradesh as it is the home district of the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu.

Tollywood actor, Saptagiri, who is known for his comical acts in films like Prema Katha Chitram and Venkatadri Express is now set to switch fields and try his hand at politics really soon.
Saptagiri himself revealed that he has an interesting offer from TDP in connection with the forthcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh.
"I met with Lokesh on his Padayatra recently. I do have an interesting offer from TDP. I am ready to contest from Chittoor district in the assembly or parliamentary elections in the next term around." Saptagiri said.
As is appears, Saptagiri could be getting an MLA or MP ticket from TDP in the coming election and moreover in the crucial Chittoor district. It is known that he is a native of Chittoor district.
