For the unversed, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy premiered on Disney+ Hotstar at 6 PM today and is currently available for streaming in South Indian languages.
Coming to the topic, Balakrishna has set a new record with Veera Simha Reddy in the OTT space.
Veera Simha Reddy has clocked over 150K unique viewers in the very 1st minute of its OTT premieres on Disney+ Hotstar.
This is the highest ever opening viewership recorded for a Telugu film in the OTT space and Balakrishna is now the holder of the same.
The film has made a splashing debut on OTT and it is expected to carry forward the momentum thanks to the Mass quotient it packs.
The Balakrishna starrer is directed by Gopichand Malineni and is funded by Mythri Movie Makers. It has Shruti Haasan in the female lead role.
Disney+ Hotstar previously scored a winner with Balakrishna’s Akhanda. Will Veera Simha Reddy emulate a similar feat for the OTT giant? We shall wait and see.
