The new release plans for the forthcoming Sankranthi releases has finally been locked after a fair bit of deliberation and last-minute changes. Here's a brief report on the officially confirmed new release plans of Sankranthi films.
Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya are set for release on the 12th and 13th of Jnaury respectively. These are the two Telugu biggies that have locked the release plans regardless of the change in release slots of other Sankranthi films.
Then there's Thegimpu, the Telugu remake of Thunivu which is up for release on the 11th of January. It will enjoy a solo release slot.
Varasudu, the Telugu remake of Varisu has been pushed from the 11th of January to the 14th of January. It is understood that the delay in production has resulted in this postponement.
Lastly, there's the Telugu film - Kalyanam Kamaneeyam which has been moved from 14 Jan to 15 Jan in order to accommodate Varasudu which changed the release plan in the last minute.
This will be the official final order of release for Sankranthi films this festival season. This coming weekend is going to be a very interesting one with multiple new theatrical outings.
