In a sensational feat, Avatar 2 has collected almost double as that of Megastar Chiranejevi's GodFather in the popular box office belt of RTC X Roads in Hyderabad.
As per the latest box office reports, Avatar 2 has collected a monstrous Rs 26.84 lakh at the theaters in RTC Roads on its opening day. This is the highest ever opening for an English film at this key box office belt.
To put that into perspective, Chiranjeevi's recent theatrical release, GodFather had collected Rs 13.02 lakh at the very same X Roads.
The fact that Avatar 2 beat a mainstream Telugu film - GodFather with double the margin in a mass circuit like RTC X Roads is as astonishing as it can get. It could also be a lesson for Chiranjeevi to ponder upon.
Not just at RTC X Roads, Avatar collected more than GodFather in Khammam as well. The James Cameron directorial collected RS 13.77 lakh in Khammam while the Chiranjeevi starrer collected Rs 8 lakh.
