As we had reported earlier, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy has locked the early Sankranthi slot and an official announcement on the same was unveiled a short while ago.
“This Sankranthi gets MASSive with the arrival of the GOD OF MASSES #VeeraSimhaReddy Grand Worldwide Release on 12th January, 2023” the statement from the makers of the Balakrishna starrer read.
This confirms that Veera Simha Reddy is the first Telugu biggie to lock the Sankranthi slot which should give it a substantial advantage over other films, being the first main release.
Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is the other mainstream biggie lined up for release this Sankranthi and this film is likely to lock the 13th January slot.
Veera Simha Reddy is directed by Gopichand Malineni and it has Shruti Haasan in the female lead role.
