Soon after the blockbuster success of Uppena, Buchi Babu Sana immediately started working on the script for Jr NTR. This project was in discussion for over 18 months but it never really took off due to NTR’s continual line up of big ticket projects with Koratala Siva and Prashanth Neel.
The latest news going around in the film circles is that Buchi Babu took the very same script that he prepared for Jr NTR to Ram Charan now. He has taken the sports drama subject to Charan and the latter signed the project as he felt it has enough potential to appeal to the pan India audiences.
NTR too liked the script but he couldn’t materialize it due to other reasons. He knew full well about Buchi Babu’s intention to work with Ram Chatan as the project with NTR was going nowhere.
We are also hearing that NTR is the one who took Buchi Babu to Ram Charan and played an instrumental role in the conceptualisation of the project. It is heard that NTR wanted Charan to do the subject prepared by Buchi Babu.
This project will commence the shoot soon. But it might not be Charan’s immediate next release after Shankar’s RC15 because he had already started shooting for Sukumar’s film. He might well resume shooting for Sukumar’s film once he is done with the Shankar directorial.
