The Enforcement Directorate has called Puri Jagannadh and Charmme for an investigation over the Liger business prospects and supposed foreign investments pertaining to the same. The ED investigated the multiple sources of funds directed at Liger's production.
Puri Jagannadh and Charmme were questioned about the unlisted investments in Liger's production. The ED is investigating if Telangana-based politicians invested money in Liger and a possible money laundering case is in the investigation now.
The investigation went on for 12 long hours at the ED office in Hyderabad and several important topics regarding Liger production came to discussion in the same.
This isn't the first time Puri and Charmme are getting into trouble over Liger. First, the film was a box office disaster of epic proportions and then there was the head-on clash with distributors regarding the losses incurred by the film and the due compensation.
On top of that, Puri is now having to deal with a full-scale ED investigation that digs deep into the business aspect of Liger. Will he come clean or will he face more trouble? We have to wait and see.
