How do you feel about your journey from anchor to actor? Pradeep: I feel truly lucky. I got the right opportunities at the right time. From RJ to TV anchor to actor — each step helped me grow. The audience has supported me throughout, and I now feel a strong sense of responsibility.
Why did you and your friends decide to produce this film? Pradeep: After my first film, I wanted to work on something with good content. We explored many stories and finally found this one. My friends are passionate about cinema, so we all came together to make this happen and created an opportunity for ourselves.
What can audiences expect from Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbai? Pradeep: From start to finish, it’s a clean entertainer. It’s the kind of film families can enjoy together. It has humor, emotion, and a lot of fun moments that people will relate to and laugh at.
Can you describe the story briefly? Pradeep: It’s like a fairy tale. A civil engineer visits a traditional village where certain old rules still exist. The way the hero gets caught up in those customs is shown in a very fun and interesting manner.
What’s special about the title Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbai? Pradeep: It’s the title of Pawan Kalyan garu’s debut film. We’re honored to reuse it. When we planned the story, we felt this title matched perfectly. We handled it with utmost care, and audiences will feel it fits after watching the movie.
Tell us about your character in the film. Pradeep: I play Krishna, a smart guy who constantly finds himself in awkward situations. The more irritated I get on screen, the more the audience will enjoy it. It’s a fun and engaging role with many twists.
How was it working with Deepika Pilli as the heroine? Pradeep: We wanted a Telugu girl for the lead. After auditions and workshops, we selected Deepika. She delivered an excellent performance. Viewers will be surprised by how well she portrayed her role.
What can you say about the music by Radhan? Pradeep: Radhan has given us a fantastic album. Each song is unique. The background score is also powerful. Visually and musically, we’ve maintained high quality thanks to cinematographer Ball Reddy garu.
Your thoughts on debut directors Nithin and Bharat? Pradeep: They didn’t feel like first-time directors at all. They surprised me with their clarity and creativity. They will be an inspiration to many upcoming filmmakers.
How did Brahmanandam and the censor board react? Pradeep: Brahmanandam garu said it had been a while since he worked in such a fun film. The censor board praised it as a clean comedy and gave us a U/A with no cuts, which felt like a big compliment.
How did Mythri Movie Makers get involved in the release? Pradeep: They watched the final cut and immediately closed the deal. They believed it was a perfect family entertainer for the summer and locked the release date. That gave us huge confidence.
